This week we have another instalment from our amazing Heritage Town Planning Consultant daughter Emma. She found this interesting renovation project on her recent site visits to Leicestershire. In this weeks blog she was visiting a Regency manor house close to Market Harborough where an old stable block and outbuildings was seeking planning consent for a renovation project. In a room above the stable block Emma discovered this old museum piece, a Jotul NR-4 Wood-Burning Stove. Clearly, it had been there some time, unused and obviously unloved! I’m thinking that it is just a stovepipe installation into an old brick chimney. Someone once told me that when Jotul were designing the NR-4, they used the figures from Easter Island as a model for the stove, but I don’t know how true that is. I think that the ceiling needs a little bit of attention Emma?
